Stone has been a favorite brewery of mine since we moved to San Diego in 2009 – I remember going to their Brewery in Escondido and taking my first EVER brewery tour. Their IPAs are a bit strong for me, but luckily, they always have a new collaboration or guest beer on tap.

Stone has a reputation for beautiful outdoor areas, and their World Bistro & Garden in Liberty Station meets that standard. It’s a gorgeous place for Mom & Dad to enjoy a beer and food, and is also set up so that your kids can enjoy the afternoon, too. 

The outdoor area offers a beautiful Koi pond, relaxing secluded Adirondack chairs, and even a Bocce ball court. It’s the perfect place to sit down, enjoy a pint, and bask in the San Diego sunshine.

Favorite Bites & Brews

• Bavarian Pretzel – enough to go around!
• Truffled Cheese Hasselback Potato – honestly, I don’t even know how to describe how delicious this is, I’ve never had anything quite like it!
• Fruity Goat Salad – perfect for a warm sunny day, especially after that pretzel and potato… 

I love Stone because they also feature other local Brews On Tap – so it’s basically impossible to find something you don’t love. My favorites recently have been:

• Beachwood Mocha Machine: perfect if you want a pint but also need a little pick me up
• Stone Double You, Eye, Tee: a classic Belgain style Witbier, can’t go wrong
• Stone Zombie Love Potion: great to top off the night with a little sweetness, I recommend a half pint – it’s 7.5%! 

Kid-Friendly Options

• The Kids Menu has a classic Mac n Cheese, but honestly the Starter Mac n Cheese is just a little bit yummier and mom can share the leftovers ?

Tips & Tricks

Park at the Public Market to find your way in – if you’re looking at the boat playground in front of the Public Market, you’re in the right spot!
